A few things to know

Home Assistant supplies your devices. HomePanel Studio connects to that setup so you can design how those devices appear on your dashboard.

A preset is a starting point. Different Light presets use the same Light widget. The label, icon, brightness display, controls and background can be customized individually.

Your canvas is the finished dashboard. The editor’s side panels are your tools for building it. They aren’t part of the interface people use at home.

Start small.

You don’t need to design a whole dashboard in one sitting. Make one widget you like, then reuse what works as you add more.
